I just love our little Hadley Bear. she is so dang cute she LOVES her momma and will smile for me if i just look at her. The other day i put on lip stick and kissed her lips like i always do and then i realized she had it on her too. So i had to take a pic. She sleeps through the night bed between 8:30-9 wakes up at 8:30- 9 a full 12 hours i love love love it. then she drinks a 6 oz bottle and back to be at 10 a.m. she is my little sleeper she is so beautiful everyone comments on her beauty. I just love Hadley so much she is perfect in everyway. I love that while hadley is in her swing she laughs at brooklyn. She thinks she is pretty funny. I LOVE having my girls so close in age its the way to go if you ask me:)

we had our first snow fall in January i mean what the heck!!! but Brooklyn loved loved loved it. it was a lot different that her last experience. She loved it but then her hands got way cold and wanted to go inside. But as soon as she got warm she wanted back out . Its time to invest in gloves and see if she will keep them on.

Jaxons birthday was on a weekday this year so we celebrated it on the following saturday. It was so cute. Kim went all out. Trains everything and even gift bags. It was super cute jaxon still hasnt gotten down the opening of presents yet:) as soon as he got something that he liked alot ....... he was done opening and clothes forget it haha us moms know that the clothes are for us:) kimmy was exctied it was so much fun to go and see family and to celebrate 3 years of Jax in our lives we love him so much. Didnt get a picture of me and the birthday boy or Brooklyn with his best friend. Cannot wait until next birthday he is going to celebrate it being a big brother i cant wait!!

i was running the bath water for brooklyn the other night and i was out of bath soap so i went to get some in her room and i came back literally 2 seconds later. And this is what i find. She wasn't even in the room when i was running bath water but she herd it running and came running i guess. Jumped in shoes and all. Funny girl bath time is her favorite!!!! oh and lipgloss that stick you see in the picture is a lipgloss top. she is all girl and i love it:)

We just love seeing our girls interact with eachother. Jeff and Tricia were sealed for time and all eternity on the 14th of January it was such a beautiful day. To bad everyone pretty much got sick my Mom got sick on Wednesday and Brooklyn got sick on Friday. Unfortunately for my mom her sickness prevented her on going though the temple on friday. So i was able to go with her. It was such an amazing experience the spirt was so strong it was amazing. I just loved seeing her and jeff coodling over each other like newlyweds. She had the biggest smile. I was so happy i could be apart of their big day. I just love them and im so happy that i get to be with them forever :)

We had so much fun with Tricia and Jeff. We went to the Mall and out to eat. Ran errand after errand it was endless but it was so much fun to have them around. It was so nice to help out. Brooklyn Loved to see Tricia and Jeff and can even say there names. And the dogs oh my gosh. It was hilarious she loved chewy because he loved his toys and she loved to take it away. She loved K.O because he would follow her around when she was eating something and she would always end up giving it to him. Not only that she would have him lick her fingers and found that so funny. Man i'm so glad we get to see them not as often as i would want but its nice to say the least. And on such a special occasion.

So in good old utah county we have had no snow. Not even an inch and its the beginning of january its quite sad. But we wanted to have brooklyn play in the snow. So we had to drive up to park city up by the lifts in a little park to have her enjoy it. And boy should we have stayed home. It took her longer to get her snow clothes on then she spent outside. She HATED it she was super warm. We did forget her gloves but she didn't even want to touch the snow as soon as scott started to pull her around she lost it. I even got in the sled with her and she just cried the whole time. We were so sure she would have loved it. Well live and Learn maybe next year we can pull Brooklyn and Hadley around in the sled and they can both be crying:) boy do we love being parents to our girls its the best thing ever!!! When we got home Scott took me out on a date to good old olive garden i just love him he is the best husband/ dad ever. I am so truly blessed.

Hadley had a little stomach problem this last week. I would change over 3 diapers a hour she had such an upset stomach. So i took her to the doctors. She got a little bug in her stomach and when that happens its very hard for babies to disgust lactose so i had to put her on a soy formula for a week. And man oh man will i be happy when she is off of it. The smell of soy makes me sick. So we are weening her back on to regular formula which is good for all of us because soy makes her spit up way to much. But other than that all is well and she is still as cute as ever. This is Hadley while i was waiting for the doctors:) she is such a happy baby i just love it.

We love her so much and cant imagine life without her. We just love our little Snuggle Bug.

My Beautiful Girls on Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year. We went up to idaho on Thursday December 22 and stayed until Monday December 25th. We were with the Burnetts this year it was Steve, Val, Ryan and Jennifer the Allreds couldn't get christmas off and we sure missed them though but they were so kind to lend us there van for the trip. It was so much fun we went out to eat and to Mission Impossible and just hung out. I even got to talk to my brother Jonny on a mission on christmas day i was anticipating going to church or not so i wouldn't miss his call but i figured it was the best thing to do and jonny was fine waiting:) but it was so good to talk to him even if it was for less than 10 min it was what i was looking forward to all week. Brooklyn was so cute she loved handing everyone their gift and would just laugh and laugh unfortunately she got sick on christmas eve and literally only got 2 hours of sleep scott and i were exhausted i thought she was just anxious to see what santa got her but apparently he gave her a fever with a runny nose and a cough poor girl. I love having my girls around at christmas time i started crying on christmas eve scott and i were holding our girls and i remember it being 4 years ago to the day that scott asked me to be his wife. I am so glad i said yes having my girls and scott in my life is what christmas is all about. Family i am so grateful that christ was born and then died for us so i can be with my family for all eternity.

Brooklyn was so cute this year it was fun. She handed everyone there christmas eve presents which consisted of pjs and then we herd a knock at the door. - I straightened her hair for this picture is so long not curly her hair lasted about 3 hours straight and then it went back to curly

Even though i feel like i clean my house spotless and then in less than 5 min its a mess i just love cleaning up after them Brooklyn and her finding binkies and stashing them places i just love it and Hadley just so happens to go through 3 outfits a day if its not a blow out of poop its i take off a diaper and she pees all over her clothes. They are the joy in my life and i wouldn't change anything.

Hadley is now one month old. Its crazy to think one month ago all of our lives were forever changed. We added more time onto getting everyone out the door. For Halloween this year we went to my parents trunk or treat Scott had to work be he got of at 6 and came to trunk or treat he played with miss Brooklyn and we had fun. Hadley was of course as good as usual and then the Allreds stopped by to come and see us they were so cute in there halloween costumes. We had SO much fun at Thanksgiving point. It was just our little family and Grandma Burnett. It was a petting zoo with farm yard animals and brooklyn loved it. The funniest parts were her running away to play with other children and then Brooklyn riding the horse let me tell you she was screamin when scott put her on the horse and by the end she wanted scott to leave and was waving at everyone passing by. She was so funny we just love her. Meanwhile Hadley was just content as can be she is such a good patient baby and slept the whole time.

We have had Hadley in our lives for 3 weeks and it has been so much fun to see Brooklyn interact with Hadley. She just loves her when you ask where is her baby she will find Hadley and give her a kiss. And Hadley is such a well natured baby that she can get kissed/ head butted every 2 seconds and just sleeps right through it. Also Brooklyn screams and Hadley dose not even flinch its so fun to say the girls and to have them in our lives. I cant wait until Hadley interacts with Brooklyn.

Scott had fall break this past week which meant he didnt have his second job on thursday and friday which was like vacation for our family having Scott at 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. we did so much things. We went to a ride up the canyon and went to the park and he got so much stuff done he installed a cabinet and countertop in the kitchen and painted a dresser and put it in brooklyns room and we organized our house. But best of all we had a husband and a dad for a extend weekend we loved it and we love him.

My dad was determend to have her like her bath.

Her first bath was very very uneventful lets just say do NOT bathe with a newborn!!! She was screaming bloody murder and it did not end well. So My dad was determend to get her to like water because us burton kids do. So he gave her a bath that consisted of a heater on her and towel in the oven. It was SOOO funny. Then a couple of days later Scott and I gave her another bath this time we could sumerge her in water since her cord fell off way early. And she did not wake up she stayed sleeping the whole time we were dying laughing she was so cute. So now we can say she loves water and has even bathed with Brooklyn:)

The other day i was trying to go through my girl clothes to find a ton of missing newborn clothes and well Brooklyn was very entertained she found a tu-tu and wanted it on and then a bloomer bottom that she put on her head she had to dump every article of clothing out of the box and then decided to play with it while watching t.v. she is so funny also i had to take pictures of this little girls teeth they are so funny just like her mommas when i was young. I get emotional writing this because i just miss her so much. She is the best sister ever she calls to see how im doing all the time. She is so supportive to me. She came into town for Hadley's birth and low and behold i had her early so she came in to help me which was much needed i seriously don't know how i would have done it without her she helped me while brooklyn was so sick when Hadley woke up way to often in the morning. She woke up and got our girls ready fed them breakfast she was basically the other mother to my children. I just love Tricia so much i just wish she lived closer my girls just love her i cannot wait until January to see her again.

I just love my grandparents and i am so glad they were able to come down and see miss hadley for the first time. Just to think it was exactly a year ago we blessed brooklyn and they met her for the first time and now they are meeting her little sister. What a blessing it is to have family that comes to see our little ones i love them so much and i will cherish these pictures:)

Brooklyn has been absolutely AMAZING with Hadley she is the sweetest little girl ever. She has not tried to hit her or anything all she wants to do is come over and give her kisses and help put in her binkie she is amazing when Hadley cries Brooklyn will get a concerned look and point to where she is she is even calling her sissy. She is amazing and i just love how they are so close in age i can and yet cannot wait until they are older and playing with each other but i can cherish this stage as well.

Hadley is officially home now its been one week and we are adjusting pretty well we have had family in town this last week so we are not quite at reality yet. we are now anxiesouly waiting aunt tricia to come into town. we are so blessed with loving family that makes trips to come to our special events. Brooklyn is doing amazingly well she just wants to hold her and kiss her head and give her her pacifier she is the best older sister ever!!!

My Birth Story:

On October 3rd i was really restless all night i got up and took a bath at 3 a.m. and then i was just tossing and turning all night at 6:00 a big gush of water came out of me. I got out of bed and went to the restroom and i continued to have water come out of me and i peed also so when i looked in the toilet it was yellow. So i was not sure if i just peed the bed or if my water broke because ever since my kidney problems i have a hard time holding my urine in. So i called Scott and told him what happened and he said he would be home i then called my mom and asked her what its like to have my water broke. She was like Amanda it broke but i was not convinced so i called the hospital and asked if amonic fluid has a smell. And they were like no but urine dose and you would know if you just wet the bed or if your water broke. ( p.s. amonic fluid does have a smell it has a salty smell and you could mistake it for urine) So Scott got home and we were packing and he was making me laugh and he more i laughed the more liquid came out. So i knew my water broke. Brooklyn ended up waking up in all of the commotion so we hung out with her while we were packing. My mom got to our house at around 7:15 and we left to go to mcdonals get breakfast and then went to the hospital. We got in around 7:30 got in the room to be evaluated where i told them my water broke. They came in with a yellow piece of paper and said if it turns blue then your water has broke. And it turned blue. So they took me into a delivery room and started my pitocen around 8 because i wasn't having contractions and i was still only dilated to a 2. So at about 10 i got my epidural which went so smooth. At 10:30 i was dilated to a 4 and the baby's heart rate was decelerating so they ended up having to put more liquid inside my uterus which helped a bit. Then at 12:15 i was dilated to a 5 but very favorable which they told me i would probably have the baby in the next hour to hour and a half the baby was still having de cells with every contraction so they put a fetal monitor on her head and they put me on oxygen to hopefully bring her heart rate back up but when ever they would check me and they would play with her head she would have accelerations which was a good sign. Then at 1:16 i was checked and i was a 8 but she could stretch me to a 10 the babies heart de cells stopped which was a good sign and she looked really good. At 1:36 i started to push i pushed 3 times through one contractions a whole 40 seconds and Miss Hadley Burnett was born. It was so amazing. Scott my Mom and Kristie was in the room and it was such a great experience i started to cry it was so emotional. Scott got to cut the cord. They cleaned her all up and she weighed 5 lbs 14 oz which my mom was right on the money and she was 19 1/2 inches long. Her head circumference was 22" and she was healthy as can be. Hadley will always share a birthday with her Uncle Dan he did tell me to have her on his birthday best birthday gift ever if you ask me:) your welcome dan.

Sorry for the picture overload. I will update more on brooklyn and all the fun stuff she does later. But considering i have been having contractions pretty regularly now and my last doctor appointment September 19th i was dialated to a 2 and 75% effaced i was thinking i would go a little early my exact due date is October 19th but im going to get induced on October 12th. But with all of my kidney/bladder/ureter problems i dont even think i will make it to the 12th. Any way i am 36 weeks in these pictures so enjoy! by the way my dad took these pictures and i edited them.

Kidney Stone Surgery/ Recovery at Utah Valley

she was what was keeping me keeping on, i love her!!!

So i can honestly say this has been such a life altering life building experience for me. I have never been in so much pain that i call out "I'm a ten". We came to Utah Valley and i must say that was by far the hardest day of my whole week/life. I got admitted and taken to my room where i went to the bathroom (pee) and i came back to try to get into bed and it hit me so hard i started screaming. Like literally screaming saying that i was screaming is kinda a understatement. I was in so much pain my mom and Scott and the nurse was trying to console me and of course i couldn't get any medicine so i had to wait it out my o2 dropped drastically and i felt like i was going to pass out. i spent the first hour in excruciating pain and the next hour holding onto my bed rail and gaining a small testimony of what my savior went through in the garden of Gethsemane i don't think i have ever prayed more fervently and just pleading with my heavenly father to just take 1/8th of it away. Then onto the Parenatoligist appointment. I went down there and had to lay flat on a bed for them to take measurements i got up to do so and i layed down and this mass pain extended my right side to the point i was telling them i don't think i can do this i was yelling again and the doctors were in such a panic they didn't know quite what to do i just told them to "try to get it done as fast as they could and i would try to hold in there." which they did thank goodness i didn't even get to look at the screen i was in so much pain i kept my head down buried into Scott's stomach leaning to the side. But the only good news i herd was all looked good she looked healthy and that she had an average weight of 5'3 which is in the 40th percentile. Which is crazy considering Brooklyn was 5'3 full term and it was a good day if she hit 8th percentile. We look at that as a major blessing.

After we were done down there we went down to get my kidney stone removed at 2:50 i said goodbye to my mom and Scott who were both pretty beat emotionally now and you could just see their pain for me in there eyes something no body should ever see in their loved ones eyes. I get wheeled back still in ALOT of pain and they had me in a holding room until 4:05 i was all by myself just having a sheet separate me from all the other patients waiting for their surgery as well and trying not to scream considering i well it prob wasn't appropriate so again i prayed. I have never had a prayer bring me so much comfort in my time of need even when the anesteiologist came in and said i have 2 choices a spinal block where i will be awake for the whole thing or they could give me a general where i would be sleeping. They said a spinal block would be the safest for the baby where all i was thinking is a general would be nice to sleep. So i opted for a spinal i was so calm getting wheeled in there and they gave me a spinal and i couldn't even feel it but i was having contractions so i was focused more on that. It took over a hour for them to get things done. They had music playing and i just closed my eyes and meditated not going to lie it was very very hard i herd them say they got the stone and i could keep it as a souvenir then they said they were done and all went well and my doctor was going to update my family. Somebody brought over the stone and the first thing i said was "that's the stone that had me in such pain that put my first daughters labor feel like nothing" they all laughed. I was in holding after my surgery for about 45 min to make sure my vitals were fine but i considering i chose a spinal i was in no pain at all just waiting for them to wheel me back in my room.

Finally i could go back to the room where on the way Scott and my Mom saw me and walked with me back saying that i was the strongest girl in the world and even the doctor who did my surgery said so. He took them the stone and said " well here is the stone but this is not the culprit of my pain." Apparently i had Hydronephrosis Tortorous Ureter which means the because of pregnancy my ureter got kinked on my right side which made it impossible for my right kidney to release anything so even though when i would go to the bathroom afterwords i was in a lot of pain because it was trying to get through the utterer they ended up having to put in a stint to fix my ureter and it will be in for a week. So now every time i go to the bathroom i am draining what ever was in my enlarged kidney for almost over a week which all it looks to me like is straight blood. I didn't know until later that it was life threading because my kidney could have erupted which I'm surprised it didn't. My OB doctor said this is his first case of treating something like this ( he has been a ob for over 25 yrs) and the Urologist said this is his second case of this ( he looks to be in mid 40's) But they both said it is extremely painful and i kept saying you really don't need to be telling me that. After getting back to the room i had contractions over 100 for 5 hours every 3 min apart. And i thought i was out of the clear they did end up giving me some pain meds but not enough to stop them so i finally got to bed around 2 a.m. by the end i was honestly ready to push this little one out. But i new that pre term labor was a factor of going ahead with the surgery just didn't think it would be as hard as it was i guess. And on top of all of that they did remove a Kidney Stone which i told you earlier and i did in face pass one earlier this week as well. So it has been such a hard week but such an educational one at that the hardest part has not been being able to be a mom and seeing Brooklyn a hour a day and not being able to hold her and express my love like i truly want to its hard because she cries for me to hold her so of course i try but then she jumps on my belly/ mainly my right side and tries to pull out my iv. I'm sorry this is so long and that I'm absolutely terrible at writing and grammar and all that but this is my journal so i don't really care. And for all of those who actually read all of this I'm proud of you. Hopefully i will get discharged today September 13th and go home and take one more step at being a mom the stint will have to stay in for a week and then after getting that removed its a week recovery.

Kidney Stones/Samantha

Okay family its easier for me to just update everyone on my blog then try calling everyone individually. The joys of technology. After almost one week of being at orem community with LOTS of ups and downs we are on our way to Utah Valley we are going to meet with the Parenatologist to see how baby is doing considering she is IUGR like Brooklyn was. If she its healthy and looks big enough they will do a amnio to check her lungs then I can possibly be induced sometime this week. I will then be meeting with the urologist for my multiple kidney stones which we are pretty sure I already passes 1. And for my hydronephrosis if I am stable enough they will do a " basket" surgery to clear out my kidneys of all the stones. That is all we know so far plus brooklyn got the flu last night and threw up over 5 times. This is trying times in our lives but I know if we just rely on the lord everything will and does play out according to his will. We ask for your prayers but already know if you are reading this we are already accepting them. Thank you for your concern and we will try to keep you updated as soon as we find anything out.

Today was Brooklyn's Birthday party. We are so blessed to have such amazing family Brooklyn has the worlds best grandparents and aunts and uncles. Even ones that would let her stuff cake in their mouths we just love them so much i cant believe its been a year it feels like she has been in our lives forever but yet i just had her its crazy how time can be. We just love her so much words cannot explain the love we have for our little peanut. 1 down and many more to come. Hopefully she is still not feeding all of us with her fingers. We started out the birthday with pizza and treats. Then we hoped presents Brooklyn wasnt to excited what was in them except taking the tissue paper and the presents out of the bag. She also loved to rip the paper but lost interest running away with bows and tissue paper. We then went to the cake and she was NOT shy she ate the whole thing it was pretty disgusting she even shared with everyone she is such a sweet little girl. Then we all just hung out while everyone played volley ball with a soccer ball. We had so much fun and Brooklyn just LOVES her cousins. We are so blessed to have such an amazing family for brooklyn. We have no pictures of kendall and Jen but they were there and tricia and jeff and jonny were there as well in thought:)

we had so much fun at the cabin. We just loved spending time with the Burnett's and Val was an amazing cook. We spent our time Shootin the 22 Chopping down trees, hiking, and just hanging out at their nice cabin. Sleep on the other hand was non existent to all of us its hard trying to sleep with little ones who don't really know where they are. But we all got through it. I just love spending time with them i just feel like we get so much closer. Thank you for letting us come along and i cannot wait until our next family adventure.

This was my first time taking pictures. And i enjoyed it a lot. But note to self we have to go after 7:30 when we got back in the car it said it was 101 did i believe it im not sure but it sure was super hot. Brooklyn hates the sun so we did most of our shots in the shade but i cant wait until next photo shoot hopefully i can make it a thing after a little bit more practice.

Brooklyn Loves water. She puts her whole face under and then brings it back up she thinks its so funny. I just love watching her interact with herself she is so funny still really into sharing so the whole time she would give me a princess then i would drop it from really high and it would splash then she would laugh. We had the opportunity to meet Brother Culley. He lives in Rhode Island and is in Jonny's current ward. He came over to meet us and to talk Jonny up. He said he is so happy and he is doing so well we should be proud of him. He also said that he loves him over at his house for dinner he is a great example to his kids. Its days like these where i am so glad i am sharing him with the world as selfish as i wanted to be he is making such a great missionary and i am so proud of him. He taught 19 NEW lessons just last week he is a go getter and i couldn't be more proud:) I love my Elder Burton!!!

We got to watch the Boys this last weekend from the 16- 18th. I just love these boys i used to watch them every weekend for about 3 and half years i seriously would do anything for these boys. This was the first time they have interacted with Brooklyn and boy did she love them. Khai would just give her sugar all the time it was so cute. We went to classic skating with them and boy has that placed changed scott played with conner and smash and i played with khai and brooklyn it was so fun to see scott act like a kid they seriously played on the inflatables for over a hour and then skated for ever and then the kareoke which killed me. I just love that scott is such a natural fun dad but we already know our roles scott plays with them and i tell them its time to go hahaha not a fun role i have but i love seeing scott interact with kids.
